Hollywood celebrities and sports stars turned out Tuesday for the presentation of Las Vegas' new casino, with the Planet Hollywood brand as its theme.
The casino will open later this year on September 28th and 29th, and plans an extravagant party to celebrate the event.
The full project will not be completed until 2009, but 2,600 movie-themed rooms and numerous restaurants and entertainment will already be available later this year.
Tuesday's presentation was attended by Hollywood stars Bruce Willis and Carmen Electra, as well as Pete Sampras, Roger Clemens and Sugar Ray Leonard from the world of sports.
The new complex is based on the site of the bankrupt Aladdin casino, which was bought out by Opbiz, owners of the Planet Hollywood brand, in 2004 for about $500 million.
Opbiz gave the old casino a complete makeover to fashion it into a Hollywood retro-chic look.
The Planet Hollywood casino will also provide visitors with popular restaurants from LA such as Koi, PF Chang's and hot-dog vendor Pink's, as well as the usual card and gaming tables.
Entertainment will initially be provided by the Stomp Out Loud show created by the producer's of the Broadway hit Stomp and magician Hans Klok.
