Users of online casinos hosted by Ladbrokes and Party Poker have been hit by problems this week as email errors and the possibility of identity fraud surface.
Party Poker is now the target for a worldwide phishing campaign, according to online security provider Websense, putting users and their finances at risk.
Phishing involves a fake email being sent to site users directing them to a counterfeit page and advising them to enter their details accordingly.
Meanwhile, Ladbrokes' poker site faced problems of its own following a Chinese New Year promotion. The website accidentally sent many users who had entered the competition more than 50 separate emails informing them that they had not been successful.
Other online casinos such as InterCasino have been running promotions of their own of late, with the casino's own Chinese New Year promotion featuring three fortune cookie competitions and running until February 25th.
