Louis Theroux to investigate Las Vegas for BBC

Infamous interviewer Louis Theroux is to return to UK television screens with a look at life in the casinos of Las Vegas, it has been revealed.

Announced as a main feature of the BBC's new winter/spring programme schedule, the new series will feature Theroux in his classic role of innocent interviewer, and begin with a trip to the world's gambling capital.

Louis and The Casino will see the intrepid investigator take a tour of Las Vegas casinos, meeting and interviewing the area's hardened gamblers in an attempt to discover what makes them tick.

Theroux will pay special attention to those players who gamble their life savings for the adrenaline rush and potentially lucrative rewards, the BBC says.

Theroux's earlier programmes saw him shoot to fame interviewing unusual figures, ranging from white supremacist child singers to New York rap stars.
