US gamblers looking for a way to continue their favourite pastimes without risking submitting credit information have been given some helpful advice by a new look at alternative payment methods.
A study of the options by OnlineCasinoReports.com reveals several potential ways to beat the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA), via playing for cash without depositing money using a credit card.
The UIGEA bans all such card-based activity, but the report indicates that many casinos offer numerous payment methods, many of which do not involve credit cards.
Internet systems such as Neteller, the so called 'e-wallet' website, enable money to be stored separately before being transferred to casino sites. Such technologies also have the advantage of being accepted on hundreds of different online sites rather than being casino-exclusive software.
Such systems are arguably better designed for online commerce than credit cards, OnlineCasinoReports argues. The advisory website also recommends wire transfers as a means of avoiding submitting credit information.
The report concludes by advising gamblers to shop around and do their research before committing to a new system &ndash and to always be on the look out for dubious offshore sites.
