Casino Royale gets mobile tie-in

The next installment in the adventures of the world's most sophisticated gambler, James Bond, will be accompanied by a limited edition mobile phone.

Sony Ericsson will release the special silver versions of its K790 and K800 camera phones for three months only.

Their release is timed to match that of Casino Royale, the first Bond film to feature the new 007, Daniel Craig.

"The special silver edition Cyber-shot camera phones will allow Bond fans to personalise their experience of this fantastic movie whilst also enjoying one of the best performing camera phones on the market," claimed Sony Ericsson's marketing vice president, Jan Wareby.

As with all Bond gadgets, the phone offers the latest technology including the ability to upload photos taken by the phone to the internet or send them straight to a printer.

Based on the first of the Ian Fleming books, there is great speculation that the film will mark a return to a colder, tougher Bond than has been seen in recent years.
