A local church has the deciding vote over whether a Louisiana casino boat will relocate.
St Mary's parish will have to vote on whether the floating gaming venue will have to move to a new home.
The State Gaming Commission has granted the move, however, the parishioners at the church will have to approve the motion in a vote on Saturday.
Church officials were approached by the owner of The Belle of New Orleans, Kentucky-based Columbia Sussex Corp, following the boat being damaged during Hurricane Katrina last year.
The owners intend to move the boat from its home in Lake Pontchartrain to Bayou Boeuf in Amelia, which is on the east side of the parish.
Not only will the boat be relocated, it will also be renamed The Belle of Amelia if the parishioners give their consent.
