Man to walk 1,800 miles to casino

A 33-year-old man from Kentucky has taken the unusual decision to walk the 1,800 miles from his home to the Mecca of gambling itself, Las Vegas.

However, Brendan Kelly is not undertaking the walk for no reason as he plans to play just one hand of Blackjack for $250,000 upon his arrival.

Kelly is planning to sell each of his 3,250,000 steps for $1 on his website to fund the trip and will give away $1.25 million plus any of his Blackjack winnings to charity.

Both Habitat for Humanity and the Make a Wish Foundation are among the charities set to benefit from the 1,800 mile walk.

He said: "I was having a lot of financial troubles so I needed a way to make some money but I also wanted to give some away."
