888.com blacklisted for spam

Online casino 888.com has been blacklisted by one industry body for "unethical marketing techniques".

The reason is message board spam and the International Gaming Affiliate Marketing Initiative (iGAMI) has as a result blacklisted the company saying it has breached the code of practice, reports silicon.com.

An iGAMI statement read: "We discovered numerous instances of blog and forum spamming where domains owned and operated by Cassava Enterprises [888.com's parent] were being impermissibly promoted on unsuspecting websites."

The problem originated from spiders or bots locate message boards and chat forums to 888.com.

888.com declined to comment.
