Super Fun 21
Type: Card Game – Variation of Black Jack
Versions: Single
Premise:
Super Fun 21 is a copyrighted game that is found within Las Vegas casinos. The game is a variant of the blackjack game that incorporates a number of liberal rules and bonuses that are not found within a normal blackjack game. As with blackjack the objective of the game is to beat the dealer's hand by getting as close to 21 without busting.
The game is played with normal blackjack rules, but has the following exceptions:
Summary of rules:
- The game is played with one deck of 52 cards.

- Player can double on any number of cards.

- The Super Fun Side-bet bonus can be placed at the start of each round of play.
- Bonus side bet is paid at 300 to 1.
- Bonus is paid when a player's first two dealt cards are made up of blackjack in Diamonds only. This does not include any hands that are split.
- The Bonus Side-bet Feature has a fixed bet amount of $1 only.
How to play:
The Super fun is played with a fifty-two-card deck. After each hand has been played, the cards are then reshuffled. All of the face cards hold the value of 10 and the cards frin 2-10 are values accordingly. Aces can be either one or eleven: if taking the ace as eleven and the hand would then equal over 21, then the ace is automatically counted as one instead.
You do not need to specify which value the ace has, as it is assumed to have the value that will give you the best hand. For example a hand that contains a Jack, 3 and a 4 has a value of 17.
Betting:
Your chips are stacked by denomination: $1, $5, $25, $100, $500 and are displayed at the bottom of the screen next to the User Information Box. You can select the amount that you would like to wager on a given hand by then clicking on the left mouse button the chip of that denomination. The amount then wagered on any given hand can be either increased or decreased by placing the mouse on the stack that you wish to add or subtract to, and by clicking on the left button you can add a chip and by clicking on the right button you can decrease from it. You can then repeat your last bet anytime by hitting the '0' button on your numeric keyboard. Other shortcuts are summarized below. If you place a wager which is lower than the minimum bet limit for the table, your bet amount will then be automatically adjusted to the minimum bet amount. The Super Fun Side-Bet bonus can only be placed at the start of each round of play after the cards have been shuffled.
To start:
You start a hand of Super Fun 21 by placing a bet on the table as described above. You will then receive two cards facing upwards. The dealer receives one card face up and one facing down. After you have been dealt two cards (and based on the nature of these two cards) you can perform any of the following actions by clicking on the appropriate button with the left mouse button.
Hit:
This requests another card. You can request a hit as long as you do not bust, have 21, reach 6 cards or have double downed.
Stand:
This requests that you do not receive anymore cards. The hand as it currently stands will then be judged against the dealer's hand.
Split:
If you have a pair, a Split button will then appear. This option is only made active immediately after you are dealt your first two cards. After this you can split your cards into two hands and play each hand separately. Your original bet will then be duplicated for the new hand. Each hand will be played out as usual.
You can split your hand up into 2 or 3 hands maximum. A white box showing your card total will then appear over each hand indicating which hand is then active. Split Aces are allowed and treated as if they are any other pair. You are also allowed to hit, double down or play. Just like if it was a pair of 8's. Any winning 21 that is made after splitting a pair is paid 1-to-1.
Double Down:
If you chose this option two things can happen: your bet will first be doubled, and you will be dealt one more card. You will also be given the option to either surrender your hand or to continue the game. You are able to double down once at anytime and on any number of cards. Hit after a double down is not allowed, and only one card is automatically dealt.
Surrender
Is only allowed when the dealer does not have a blackjack, you may surrender one-half of the total bet at the time as long as you do not have 21 or they have busted. Surrender is available throughout the game to the player on any number of cards.
Insurance:
Whenever the dealer's up card is an Ace the player can then take insurance on hald the amount that is bet. If you would like to use the insurance, press the 'INSURANCE' button. However, if you do not wish to take insurance, simply click on the 'PASS' button to proceed with the rest of the hand.
When insurance is bought, you are betting on the fact that the dealer's down card is a ten or a face card e.g. a natural blackjack.
When you buy insurance, you are effectively betting on the fact that the dealer's down card is a ten or face card, i.e. a natural blackjack.
If the dealer does then have a 10 ranking card, the player is instantly paid 2 to 1 on the insurance bet, but the original wager is lost unless the player also has a blackjack and pushes the dealer. If the dealer does not have a natural blackjack then the rest of the hand is played as normal and you then lose your insurance money.
