Rule Authority:
InterCasino Punto Banco is played and programmed with Atlantic City Gaming rules.
Authority:
New Jersey Casino Control Commission.
Rule Exceptions:
The cards are shuffled by the dealer when the cut card is reached. The cut card is then inserted seven cards from the end of the pack. When the cut card is reached then either the current coup is completed or a final on is initiated.
Premise:
Two hands are dealt within Punto Banco - The Banker's hand and the Player's hand. Before each deal, the player bets on whether the player's hand or banker's hand is closest to a total of 9. The player also has the option to wager on a tie taking place (both the player and the banker's hands cards totaling the same amount). There are 6 decks of 52 cards that are used.

How to Play:
Betting:
Your chips are stacked by denomination: $1, $5, $25, $100, $500 and are displayed at the bottom of the screen next to the User Information Box. You can select the amount that you would like to wager on a given hand by then clicking on the left mouse button the chip of that denomination. The amount then wagered on any given hand can be either increased or decreased by placing the mouse on the stack that you wish to add or subtract to, and by clicking on the left button you can add a chip and by clicking on the right button you can decrease from it. You can then repeat your last bet anytime by hitting the '0' button on your numeric keyboard. Other shortcuts are summarized below. If you place a wager which is lower than the minimum bet limit for the table, your bet amount will then be automatically adjusted to the minimum bet amount.
Multi-Player:
Within the multi-player version of Punto Banco, each one of the playing tables can have eight players maximum as well as the dealer. You must choose which seat you would like to take when you enter the game, and if this is taken you will be given the next seat that is available. You can change your seat on the game by exiting from the game and then returning to the game to choose your seat.
The shoe is placed in front of the virtual dealer, the Croupier. He then offers the shoe to you and as the player you may then be offered a pop-up box asking: 'you have been offered to cut the deck. By cutting the deck you accept to be the dealer for this hand.' You can then press either Yes I wasn't to cut the shoe, or No I do not want to cut the shoe. Then you decide if you want to be the dealer. If you decline this offer the shoe moves on to the next player, but if you accept to cut the show then an animation appears. This animation is a yellow card and a deck in which you place the yellow card in the position in which you would like to cut the pack. If you or another other player does not accept to cut the cards, then the croupier will cut the cards themselves randomly. After the cards are cut the dealer then draws the first card from the shoe. The dealer then reveals that card and burns (not shown on the table) that many cards. Aces are counted as 1, Face Cards as 10. The shoe moves to the player who accepted the cards to cut or the croupier remains with the shoe and first hand is dealt. The yellow card will then be placed back in the deck and will be used as a designator as to when a shoe is complete.
Each of the players starts a hand by placing a bet on the table: you may place a bet when the 'DEAL' button, the 'PASS' button and the betting chips are placed in front of your seat on the table.
There are three types of bet that a player is able to wager on during the game: the Player's Hand (you must click on the first circle from the end of the table to place this wager), The Banker's Hand (you must click on the second circle from the end of the table to place this wager), The Tie Bet (you must click on the number above the second circle to place this wager bet). You are also able to play a combination of these bets, and you can then place your wagered amount by clicking with the left mouse button on the table field that you would like to bet. (Banker, Player, Tie).
After you have placed your bet onto the table, you can then choose to skip the deal that has been given (before your first card has been dealt) by clicking on the 'PASS' button or you can proceed with the bet by pressing the 'DEAL' button. If you do not bet or pass within 15 seconds of your turn you will excluded from the game automatically, for that particular hand only. Note: if you join a table in the middle of a hand then you must wait until that round is over and then you are able to bet on the next hand that is dealt.
After the player has clicked to either Deal or to Pass, then the Player and the Banker are dealt two cards each. All ten cards and the picture cards are worth zero, aces are then worth 1, and all of the other cards are worth the face value. If the value of the cards exceeds 9 however, then the value is adjusted by subtracting 10 from the total value.
| Hand | Hand Total |
|---|---|
| 9+7=16 | 6 |
| 5+5+5=15 | 5 |
| 10+9=19 | "Natural" |
After the first two cards are dealt to both the player and the dealer, a third card may then be dealt but the player does not need to ask for the third card. All additional cards are subject to the 'Third Card Rule'. No hand will receive more than three cards, and when the player and the dealer's hands equal the same, the hand is called as a Tie. If the value of the cards in either the Player's or the Dealer's hand is an 8 or a 9 (also known as a 'natural') after receiving their initial two cards, no more cards shall be dealt to either hand. If the dealer's hand value on the first two cards is between 0 and 7 inclusive, the player's hand shall hen be drawn in accordance with the 'Third Card Rules'.

Third Card Rules:
If the Player's two cards total:
| Player's Hand | Draw? |
|---|---|
| 0-5 | Player's hand must draw |
| 6-7 | Player's hand must stand |
| 8-9 | "Natural" (both hands stand) |
After the Player's Hand acts on a third card draw, the Banker's Hand receives a third card according to these rules:
| Banker's Hand | Draw? |
|---|---|
| 0-2 | Banker's hand must draw |
| 3-6 | Third card to Player's hand determines draw or stand |
| 7 | Banker's hand must stand |
When the Banker's two cards value between 3-6:
| Banker's Hand | Banker's hand draws when Player's third card is: | Banker's hand does not draw when Player's third card is: |
|---|---|---|
| 3 | 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-9 | 8 |
| 4 | 2-3-4-5-6-7 | 0,1,8,9 |
| 5 | 4-5-6-7 | 0-1-2-3-8-9 |
| 6 | 6-7> | 0-1-2-3-4-5-8-9 |
| 7 | Banker's hand must stand | Banker's hand must stand |
| 8-9 | "Natural" - Bank stands | "Natural" - Bank stands |
If the Player's hand contains two cards (6, 7), then a two card Banker hand totaling 3, 4, 5 must draw and a Banker hand totaling 6 must then stand.

Payoffs:
| Wager and Result | Payoff |
|---|---|
| A winning Player hand wager | 1 to 1 |
| A winning Banker hand wager (5% commission on winnings for the House) | 1 to 1 |
| A winning Tie wager | 8 to 1 |
If the hand that the player has bet on wins, they are paid 1 to 1. If they bet on a tie, then they win 8 times the original bet amount. Note: if the player wins when backing the dealer's hand the house then charges a small percentage.
