Casino War Card Game
Type: Card Game
Versions: Multi – 5 Player
Premise:
The Casino War Card game is similar to the childhood game of 'War', where you had to try and get all of the playing cards for yourself. All the cards were dealt out and each player played a card in turn. Whoever had the highest card won all of the cards in play. If there was a tie you could go to war and play another round for all of the cards. Casino War is similar to this childhood game, and I was invented to imitate the original game of 'war'. Casino War has become popular because anyone can learn the games rules in a matter of minutes.
Betting:
Your chips are placed by denomination ($1, $5, $25, $100, $500) at the bottom of your screen, which is above your User label. The Player must make any wager desired within the posted table limits, and the bet placed on the players play circle\ante location on table.
The amount that is bet per hand can be increased or decreased by placing the mouse on the stack that you wish to add or take from your bet. Each time the player clocks the left mouse button a chip will be added from their pile to the planned wager amount, and by clicking on the right mouse button you can decrease the planned wager amount. If a wager is placed that is lower than the minimum table limit, the bet will be automatically adjusted to the minimum bet amount.
Summary of rules:
- The game is played with six decks of cards.
- Cards are ranked as they are within poker, with the one exception that aces are always high. The suit does not matter to this scoring.
- After the players have made their wager, each player and the dealer shall receive one card.
- Each player's card shall then be compared with the dealer's card. If the player's card is higher they win even money. However, if the dealer's card is higher the player loses their wager.
- In the event of a tie the player will then have two choices: They may wither surrender and forfeit half the bet, or they can go to War (see rule 6)
- If the player chooses to go to War he must then raise his bet by an amount equal to the original wager.
The dealer will then burn three of the cards and give the player and the dealer another card each. If the player's second card beats the dealer's card then the player shall win even money on the raise only and the original wager shall push. However, if the dealer's card is greater the player shall lose both of their bets. The player wins in war on a second tie and war win pays 1:2. - A bonus tie bet is also available, which pays 10 to 1 only if the first two cards tie and the bonus "tie bet is placed before the round starts."
Important Note:
Please note that if the value of your cards are tied and you do not make a choice to either surrender or go to war with the dealer before the time limit on the clock expires; the game will automatically disconnect you from the server and the game state will be saved until you return to it.
Multi-player rules:
Within the multi-player version of Casino War, each table is able to accommodate five players and the dealer. A bright white light will note your position on the table. You may change your position on the table by clicking on the spot between the hands that you wish to move to. Each player then begins a hand by placing their bet on the table as described above. After you have placed your bet on the table, you may choose to pass the given deal (before your first card is dealt) by clicking on the "Pass" button or to carry on with the bet by pressing "Deal". If you do not 'bet' or 'pass' within 15 seconds after the beginning of your turn (marked by a light shining on your position), you will be automatically taken out from that particular hand. Please note that if you join a table in the middle of a hand, you must wait until the round is finished before you will be able to bet on the next hand.
Payoffs:
| Result | Payoff |
|---|---|
| Highest Card | 1 to 1 |
| War Win(Tie Card) | 1 to 2 |
| Tie During War(Tie Card) | 1 to 2 |
| Bonus Bet Tie(Tie Card) | 10 to 1 |
Betting Limits:
$2 minimum initial ante
$1000 maximum bet.
You may also set your table bet limit to below the maximum specified limit by selecting Bet Options from the Game Menu. The Modify Table Bet Limit window will appear on the screen. To reduce your maximum table bet limit you must type in the new limit in the appropriate box, and then click on the OK button to complete the update. Please be aware that you can modify your table bet limit no more than once per week (Friday 12:00 AM EST) and that using the Modify Table Bet Limit function affects the bet limit for all games and not just the game that you are playing at the time of changing the limit.
